WORLDS BIGGEST NETWORKING CELEBRATION
When Geoff Kirkwood first came up with the idea of International Networking Week in 2006 he had no idea how big the celebration would become.
By late 2006, there were merely 24 Google hits pertaining to International Networking Week. Directly following the inaugural celebratory week, on February 14th, 2007, there were over 40,500 hits.
On February 4th 2008, the first day of the worldwide celebration, there were exactly 14,000,100 documented Google hits for International Networking Week
During that week, nearly 100 large-scale events and 4,000 smaller events took place across the globe in observance of International Networking Week! A staggering increase over 2 short years!
It is now proclaimed in numerous cities, celebrated in over 30 countries and was even acknowledged in the US Senate.
Quite notably, International Networking Week 2008 was listed in the 2008 edition of Chase’s Calendar of Events—the most comprehensive and authoritative reference available on worldwide special events and holidays.
As at today's search (19.01.2010) the Google Hit Count for the last month is 644.000.000. Watch this space for event information which will be posted by 21 January 2010

In addition, it also gained documented support from several government representatives through proclamations and resolutions declaring the celebratory week as an important asset in helping to preserve, promote and strengthen the health of the global economy.
